Change an event into a task that doesn't disappear after time passes, unless checked off
Turn an event into a task that does not fade out or disappear from your list until you check it off as done. Would appear in your Apple or Google calendars as an event with a checkbox emoji in front of it.
Have a separate todo list for nonscheduled tasks.

There are activities wherein we spend time on our own and other activities wherein we undertake a task like calling some one or sending a note etc.
